Introduction

This is the family history for Patrick Lynch (1876-1956), of Hodgestown, Co. Westmeath and Piltown, Co Kilkenny. Patrick was the father of eight children. His eldest son Philip inherited the farm in Piltown. His daughter Elizabeth (Betty) emigrated to England and his daughter Jane (Jenny) emigrated to Scotland. The remaining five children Mary (May), Ellen (Nellie), Anastatia (Statia), Johannah (Hannah) and Patrick all moved to Dublin and spent their lives there.
