Griffith[12] shows a plot 6 of 48 acres in Eshnaglogh, Corragunt leased to Mary McAloon in 1862. The tithe applotment records (1823 – 1838) show a record of Mick McAloon leasing land in Corragunt, so it can be assumed he died sometime before 1862.
The Valuation Revision books show the following lease changes in Corragunt:
Year | Mary McAloon | Terence McAloon | Owen McAloon | Michael McAloon |
---|---|---|---|---|
1862 | Plot 6 | |||

Terence McAloon took over an adjacent plot 7 a, b in 1873 from Mary Callaghan, about 23 acres. Owen McAloon took over the lease of plot 6 in 1880 from his mother, Mary, suggesting Mary may have died between 1879 and 1880. In 1883 Owen took over plot 7 as well from Terence. In 1907 Michael McAloon (son of Owen) took over the lease of plot 6, while Owen retained plot 7. In 1926 Michael took over the lease for plot 7.
